Prince Darab’s Lost Treasure

At sundown on 14 November 1812, off the coast of what’s now Pakistan, 4 boats, led by the British East India Firm cruiser Zephyr, made their method to the small port of Karachi. The Zephyr, together with a smaller, triangle sailed Indian Ocean patamar, towed two captured pirates’ boats and a captured pirate chief, Luckoo. The patamar additionally contained some uncommon baggage: the property and servants of an Afghan prince who had helped the Zephyr’s captain seize the pirate a couple of days earlier than, and not using a combat.
